Fresh from the Gulf of Mexico. These wild caught Peppermint Shrimp feed on leftover fish food, fish waste, detritus, and occasionally clean dead tissue from fish. Pairs of Peppermints will spawn in reef tanks. This handsome shrimp becomes more active at night. When stressed they will become transparent, when fed well they become a deep luminous red.
Lysmata Wurdemanni are reef safe and will not attack corals.
Recommended for tanks 50 gallons +.
