ID -

Tiny yellow papillae; endolithic tissue yellow. Little dots of yellow found on Gulf of Mexico live rock tend to be yellow excavating sponges. They are not the variety that attack coral.

Tips -

Peaceful and pretty yellow sponge found on live rock tend to be easy keepers in a low light reef environment. Plenty of flow, low lights, nutrients in water and good water quality are what is required to maintain them.
